One of the most interesting things I find about Twilight Princess is how the Hylian is based on the Latin alphabet rather than Japanese syllabary. On my most recent playthrough of the game, I took some time to translate some of the Hylian found throughout the game. The general format here is Location - translation. Any directions are from the GameCube version. A question mark means an unreadable letter, and a slash (/) means a new line. Dungeon Maps A majority of the names found on the maps (near the dungeon's 'symbol') are the same as what they are called except for a few.
